Psychology at Calday Grange Grammar School

Course description

We have chosen to teach the AQA Psychology B specification at Calday as it is felt this provides students with a sound understanding of the key concepts, methods and approaches in psychology at both AS and A2. The students will acquire this knowledge through studying topic areas that represent the core areas of social, cognitive, biological, developmental and individual differences. These topic areas will be taught in relation to everyday applications of psychology such as memory, social influence, mood disorders, autism, schizophrenia, gender, attachment and forensic psychology. They will develop the ability to use scientific methodology in the context of psychology and its applications, as well as to communicate arguments clearly and concisely. The course will also enable the students to develop evaluative and analytical skills

Entry requirements
