Course content

The subject is based on the investigation of three key components: Philosophy, Ethics and Christian Theology. We will explore and investigate ideas about the nature of God, arguments for the existence of God and the Problem of Evil and Suffering in Philosophy; there will be a focus on ethical theories such as Utilitarianism and Natural Moral Law, and the application of these theories to ethical dilemmas such as euthanasia and business ethics in Ethics; and in Christian Theology we explore the foundations of Christian belief, as well as some of the more recent developments in theology such as Feminist and Liberation theologies.

The second year units will build on the topics introduced in your first year, allowing you to develop your skills in preparation for university and beyond.
