Level 3 National Diploma in Media Studies at Range High School

Course description

The Media BTEC is a Level 3 Diploma (equivalent to 2 A-Levels). It is a vocational and industry-focused course which is designed to give students an understanding how Films and TV programmes are produced.

There is no exam component. Students are assessed continuously throughout Years 12 and 13 using a variety of methods. As well as written assignments, students are expected to assemble research portfolios, give formal presentations and work collaboratively. They will also create several TV or film productions, including TV adverts, news reports and music videos.

Entry requirements

For Creative Media Production we require good passes, Grade C and above in at least 5 subjects.
