Course description
This course is suitable for those of you who wish to develop the basic skills needed in hairdressing or barbering. The course will involve both practical and theory classes. During the practical lessons, you will work in a realistic salon environment and will be expected to carry out hairdressing or barbering services on clients, once you have reached a certain level of ability.
Course content
Some examples of the units that will be covered are: health and safety, styling hair, shampooing hair, colour hair, and salon reception.
Entry requirements
You must show through initial assessment that you are working towards English and Maths skills at Level 1. You will also need to demonstrate commitment, a good attendance record and a willingness to learn.
