Mechanics which considers the mathematics in real life situations. Statistics which extends pervious handling data techniques. Decision Maths which is concerned with algorithms, networks and their applications. Learning a wide range of mathematical techniques and how to apply these to problem solving. Learning to think logically and to present solutions in coherent, rigorous terms.
You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Mathematics, which could lead onto higher education in areas of Mathematics, related areas such as Engineering, Economics, Physics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Mathematics such as an Accountant, Engineer, Financial Adviser or Teacher. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for.
