A Level Film Studies at Devizes School

Course description

Why study Film Studies?

Moving image film is arguably the most popular and accessible form of artistic expression after music. Understanding its appeal is part of what a film student does. So too is understanding the creative process and decision making: unpicking how and why the director manipulates our response. Like literature, through film we can immerse ourselves in the worlds and lives of others.

AS: FM1 Exploring Film Form

AS: FM2 British and American Film

A2: FM3 Coursework unit
