Sport and Exercise Sciences BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Chichester College
The course aims to provide studies in sport that are directly related to the changing needs of employers in the sport and recreation industry. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you will develop the skills you need to start or progress in a career in a sport related area.
Have you ever wondered what seperates elite athletes from the novice? Units such as Applied Physiology, Applied Psychology and Sports Massage will give you an insight why this is. Interested in working with a range of people? How about units such as Exercise for Specific Groups, Work Experience or Sports Injuries. If you are aged 16-18 you will follow a study programme consisting of your main qualification, English and maths, enterprise and enrichment.
You will need to have completed the 90 Credit Diploma in Sport Science as well as having 5 GCSE's A* - C including Maths and English Language. A science GCSE would also assist you.
This course is all coursework based. This does not mean life on a computer. How about improving your presentation skills, artistic flair and practical demonstration. A choice of methods that cater for your strengths.

This course involves aspects of physical activity so having a drive and an interest for sport and exercise is a must. Physical fitness would also assist you in achieving well on this course.
