Psychology at Minster School
What does the course involve?
* It provides you with an introduction to selected aspects of psychological theory and research.
* It provides opportunities for you to explore how Psychology has contributed to our understanding of human behaviour and experience.
* It develops your critical awareness of psychological research and the skills appropriate to carrying out such research.
* It develops your understanding of the practical applications of psychological theory and research.
There are two units completed in Year 12 and two units completed in Year 13 some examples of topics covered include: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biological rhythms and sleep, Social Psychology, Social psychological approaches to explaining aggression.
Standard Entry Requirement - 5 GCSE's grade C or above including English, Maths and Music
Minimum of 1 science subject at Grade C or above at Level
