Health and Social Care, Level 3 90 Credit Diploma at Abingdon and Witney College

Course description

Core units that you will study include; anatomy and physiology, psychological perspectives and sociological perspectives. You will study a variety of specialist subjects which will include research methodology and dementia care. On the course you will also attend compulsory work placements with a variety of service users, maintain a portfolio of evidence covering your experiences during the work placements and work in teams supporting your peers to research and develop a variety of topics.


 

Entry requirements

You are required to have Four or more GCSE at Level C including English and Maths. To work with children (under 18) or vulnerable adults students will need to complete an enhanced disclosure check for the Disclosure and Barring Service. The College will organise this for you but you will have to pay. The estimated cost of the enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is £44. Full details regarding payment and documents required will be provided prior to enrolment.
