Functional (Maths) Entry Level 3 - Level 2 at Middlesbrough College

Course description

The course follows a model based on the Functional Skills Curriculum for Mathematics. The three main areas are: Represent Problems using Mathematics; Analyse Situations Mathematically; Interpret Solutions to Problems. You will develop an understanding of numbers and be able to manipulate numbers efficiently and confidently and apply these skills to solve everyday problems. A variety of interactive IT resources will be used alongside formal classroom teaching. Resources will be available on the virtual learning environment which you will be able to access from home.

Entry requirements

No Entry requirements, leaners will be assessed at induction


Leaners will be assessed using a range of tools including IT, internal and external assessment.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course you can progress to Functional Mathematics - Level 1.
