Event Production Level 3 at Access Creative College

Course description

This course allows you to get into the technical and logistical side of events, from gigs and festivals, through to theatre, exhibitions, sports events and conferences. You will collaborate with other students on event projects where you will play a key part in the production process.

Course content

PRODUCTION DESIGN Get involved in the planning and logistics of staging an event.

RUN LIVE SOUND Install and operate live sound systems for a variety of events.

OPERATE EVENT LIGHTING Programme and run lighting for a variety of productions.

STAGE DESIGN & MANAGEMENT Design and build stage sets and manage stage areas.

DEVELOP BUSINESS SKILLS Understand how the events industry works and how to market yourself successfully.

Entry requirements

We value your creative passion and skills above all else. However, you will need to demonstrate that you are able to work at Level 3 (A Level standard) and we will take your actual, or predicted, grades into account.

FREE for 16-18s.

Future opportunities

WHEN I FINISH... You will achieve a Level 3 BTEC Production Arts Extended Diploma which can lead on to a creative degree. Completion of both years of the course can generate up to 168 UCAS points, or the equivalent of three A* grades at A Level. You may also go straight into employment in the creative industries.
