Psychology at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School

Course description

Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. The discipline uses a number of scientific and mathematical tools such as; experiments, interviews and questionnaires with robust statistical analysis to answer questions about human behaviour and how people think and feel emotion. Topics covered during the course include; Memory, Attachments, Stress, Social Influence, Abnormality, Biological Rhythms and Sleep, Intelligence, Aggression, Phobias, Addictions and Research Methods.

Entry requirements

Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers. To study with us you will need to have an average of at least 6 grade Bs at GCSE, (including grade B’s in any subjects that you wish to study at A level that you have already studied at GCSE.) We are aware that there may be special circumstances that mean that you won’t achieve this level of results. We do sometimes reduce this minimum standard under such conditions - please do get in touch.
