Young Enterprise *FEES PAYABLE* at St Mary's Senior School

Course description

Each year, members of the LVI Form have the opportunity to participate in the Young Enterprise scheme which helps them to learn the skills necessary to succeed in the world of business and enterprise. Girls set up their own company; appoint a Board of Directors and sell shares to raise the capital needed to get their ideas off the ground. They are encouraged to be creative and recent products, which they have produced, include phone cases, a clothing range and Treasure Hunt boxes. The focus is on learning through doing and the importance of teamwork, practical thinking and commitment in ensuring that their business is a success. They are ably supported by a team of advisors who come into school from local industry and commerce and this dialogue forms a core component of the programme. Girls from St Mary’s have been hugely successful in their business ventures and have enjoyed winning awards at both County and Regional level.
