Engineering BTEC Diploma Level 3 at Bracknell and Wokingham College

Course description

The BTEC Diploma in Engineering has been developed for those aspiring to become professional engineers, supervisors or managers. This course will appeal to those who are interested in a broad range of engineering careers. Equivalent to three A Levels, it helps develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required for employment at technician level or for progression to university. It is a challenging course which enables you to study a wide range of advanced engineering topics.

Course content

Units include: • Engineering Projects • Electrical and Electronic Principles • Computer Aided Design • 3D Modelling • Mechanical Principles • Digital Systems

Entry requirements

• Four GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths, English Language and a Science, a Merit grade in BTEC First Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, or other equivalent qualifications

Future opportunities

• Higher Education – this course is the equivalent to three A Levels and will give you between 120 and 420 UCAS points depending on your final grade • Employment - at a technician level or an Advanced Apprenticeship
