Mathematics A Level Linear at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College
It’s almost impossible to get through a day without using maths in some way. The skills you learn can open up a wide range of career opportunities. You will study a core of mathematics modules which provide a solid background in Pure Mathematics, with the opportunity to specialise by taking a further module in statistics or mechanics in the second year.

• Differentiation and Integration
• Correlation and Regression
• Newton’s Laws of Motion
• Centre of Mass
Four GCSEs grade A-C, preferably including Maths and English. This is a guideline rather than a requirement and the college will create a programme most suitable for you as an individual.

Assessment: Exam 100%
Results 2016: 98%

A Level Mathematics is a qualifications which can lead to a wide variety of higher education courses or areas of employment. Students can progress to careers in Economics, Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Accountancy, Psychology, Geography, Finance, Computing and Information Technology or to courses where Mathematics will support their knowledge.
