Sport Studies - BTEC Diploma in Sport (Level 3) at Hopwood Hall College
This course is for students who want to work in junior managerial positions in the sport industry, become sports coaches, or who wish to progress into Higher Education in a degree related to sport.
Our course has been developed to meet the expanding employment opportunities within the industry including: health and fitness facilities, coaching/teaching, professional sport and performance.

• Sports coaching
• Practical team sports
• Sports nutrition
• Psychology for sports performance
• Fitness training and programming
• Sports leadership
• Organising sports events
• Injury in sport
The Level 3 course is designed as a two year study programme but there is an option to undertake a diploma in one year instead. Please ask for more details at your interview.
4 GCSEs grade C or above to include English and Mathematics OR BTEC Level 2 qualification OR NVQ Level 2 OR VRQ Level 2.
No cost for 16-19 year olds.
After completing this course, you can enter employment with uniformed services. You can also achieve progression on to foundation degrees dependent on UCAS points awarded.
