Creative and Digital Media Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Course description

This Apprenticeship is designed for Graphic Designers, Animators and Web Designers. As an apprentice you will 'earn while you learn' by working in the media industry. During the Apprenticeship you will attend college to develop your technical / creative skills and learn about the Creative Industries. Course content will include:

  • Software Skills: Creative Suite Design / Production Premium (including; Photoshop, In Design, Dreamweaver, Flash and After Effects etc.)
  • Business Skills: Understanding the Creative Industries / Developing Positive Working Relationships
  • Creative Skills: Generating Creative Solutions and Responding to Client Briefs
  • Core Skills: English and Maths

Course content

This programme will vary depending on your employer, generally you will attend college one day per week and work four days per week. While you are at college you will be taught via practical lessons and workshops, you will also receive 1-2-1 guidance and support.

Entry requirements

To be accepted onto this programme you need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade A - C including English, Maths and a media qualification. In addition you will be required to present a portfolio of your media work at interview. Your portfolio should highlight your creative skills and technical competence.


You will produce a portfolio of media work which reflects the skills and knowledge you gain at college and in the workplace. In addition to this you will have an individual tutor who will visit you while you are at work.

Future opportunities

Once you have completed this apprenticeship you can either continue working in the Creative Industries or apply to university.
