Travel and Tourism at Brentwood County High School

Course description

If you would like to study a subject that is the fastest growing industry in the UK, then Travel and Tourism could be for you. This is an exciting and varied course with many opportunities for you to guide your own learning and put your knowledge into practise with hands on experience. Assessment is by a combination of coursework and exams. You will study topics such as Introducing Travel and Tourism, Customer Service: and Travel Destinations in Year 12 and Tourism Development, Event Management and The Guided Tour in Year 13. Fieldwork is an important part of the course and you will have the opportunity to take part in day trips to Thorpe Park, Colchester and Barleylands as well as a residential trip to North Wales.

Entry requirements

Students must have at least grade B in the subjects chosen for study

AND

Must have at least grade C in English.
