The course consists of 7 units all of which are taught in a practical context. If you haven’t already achieved a C grade or higher you will also study a functional skill / GCSE in Maths and/or English.

Entry requirements

3 GCSE's grade A*-E, these must include Maths and/or English: or Level 1 Diploma in Active Sport & Leisure

Assessment

A wide variety of assessments will be used. The NCFE programme will use continuous assessment rather than examinations and you will be able to track your performance as you work towards your targets and goals. You will be assessed through observation, planning and delivering coaching sessions, working with local primary schools and discussion and evaluation of your performance. Your tutor will encourage you to develop evaluation skills and teach you how to reflect and improve your coaching over the year. To help with assessment, you will be expected to devote personal time for your studies.

Tuition Fees: 16-18 - free

19+ - £1650 - Registration Fee £100
