Supply Chain Management Apprenticeship Level 3 at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College*
Within the Level 3 Apprenticeship for Supply Chain Management, the learner will be in a supervisory role and be involved in analysing the supply chain's performance. Skills and knowledge covered will include identifying the risks to schedule and performance as well as negotiation.
This is a combined qualification which means the knowledge and competence elements are assessed together. This qualification is assessed within the workplace by an assessor only and therefore no college attendance is required for the knowledge element.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an interest in the supply chain are essential in this area. Learners are encouraged to have level 2 previously but it is not essential. A supervisory role is required.
The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete. Apprentices are required to complete their training within the workplace, where an assessor will visit them and support their progress through on-site assessment.
An element of college attendance may be required which will be discussed with the assessor on induction.
On completion of the level 3 and with the correct level of employer support, learners can progess to a Supply Chain Management National Voca- tional qualification at level 4 or a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification at level 4.
