Information Technology (BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma) at Diss High School

Course description

Teaching and learning styles and other activities: There will be an emphasis on the practical and vocational elements of ICT.

Course content

You have to complete both Mandatory Units and four units from the optional list.

Entry requirements

You are required to have at least five Cs at GCSE including Maths and English Language at Grade C.

Subject Specific

Five A* to C grades at GCSE, including at least a C in English and Mathematics.



Assessment is portfolio based.

Future opportunities

The qualification will provide better opportunities to enter employment in the IT sector or to progress to other vocational training. It gives you the chance to develop a range of techniques, personal skills and the kind of attributes which are essential for successful performance in working life.
