Accountancy Pathway at Banbury and Bicester College

Course description

Our unique course provides day students a pathway to accountancy, combining many of the industry standard courses that lead to professional bookkeeping status. The course also develops core skills in business admin to maximise your employability opportunities. The course enables students to progress onto Higher Education.

Course content

The full-time Accountancy Pathway course provides an opportunity for you to learn the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the competitive professional world. Topics include:
•Business Accounting
•Financial Accounting
•Management Accounting
•Accounting Systems
•Business Project Management
•Supporting Business Activities
•Managing Business Information

Entry requirements

•at least four GCSEs at grade C or above (including some subjects related to the proposed area of study) and/or a completed level 2 award

Future opportunities

Students can progress to AAT Level 4, Foundation Degrees in Accountancy and many finance-related degree courses at university.

      • From the M40, leave the motorway at Junction 11 and leave roundabout onto A422.
      • Continue down A422 and leave roundabout onto A361, Southam Road. Turn left on A361 (Southam Road) on to Horse Fair.
      • Leave the roundabout onto B4035, West Bar Street. Follow West Bar Street on to Broughton Road and the main entrance to the campus is on the right hand side.

      The Banbury Campus is approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the train and bus station.
