All units are internally assessed and graded. An overall grade is awarded to those who successfully complete all units. Grades awarded are Pass, Merit or Distinction.
The assessment approach of the BTEC qualifications in Business allows students to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as they provide evidence towards the assessment and grading criteria. Evidence for assessment may be generated through a range of diverse activities including assignment and project work, case studies, and presentation. The course complies with the requirements of the Qualifications and Credits Framework (QCF).

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the course will allow students to progress to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business, which is equivalent to 3 A levels. On completion of the L3 Extended Diploma students can enter higher education to a business related degree, or to find work in a business organisation. Students will also have the knowledge and skills to start their own business.
