Health Studies Level 3 National Extended Diploma at Accrington and Rossendale College

Course description

This is a two year course that enables learners to progress to University. Successful learners in the past have gone on to study degrees in social work and social policy

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A* – C (including English and Maths).


Course work and assessments are set throughout the year and a work placement observation will be conducted.

Financial information

This course is free of charge for 16 – 18 year olds.

This course will cost a maximum of £480 for learners aged 19 years old or above. This fee may be reduced or void depending on the individual’s circumstances.

Future opportunities

This course will enable learners to apply to university. Past learners have gone on to study degrees for nursing studies.

Further information

You will be required to complete a work placment of 100 hours in the sector. This means that you will also have to complete a Disclosure, Barring and Vetting application.
