Business Studies A-Level at George Salter Academy

Course description

Business Studies is the theoretical study of business, from both an internal and external perspective.

It enables students to learn about how businesses operate in a dynamic world and the effect that external influences can have on Business decision-making. Students who study this subject learn about topical issues that can bring about change for Business organisations, and the range of stakeholder perspectives that can be taken on Business activities.

Progression routes from this course

This course is an excellent foundation for all Business and Management degrees. A clear understanding of the functions of Business enables students to make choices about specific degrees relating to the functional areas of Business, e.g. marketing, finance or human resource management. It also provides a sound base for students wishing to embark upon management training courses with large corporate organisations.
