Acting BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Forest Hill School - Sydenham and Forest Hill Sixth Form
The Extended Certificate in Acting is for students who are interested in learning about the performing arts sector alongside other fields of study. Students will gain a taste and an appreciation of performing arts, through knowledge and experience of the performance process. Students will also have the opportunity to develop a range of skills, techniques and personal attributes which will be valuable across all areas of future study and work. The course focuses on developing the practical skills and techniques for acting as well as developing an understanding of important critical analysis skills and contextual understanding of practitioners work.
The course comprises of 4 units students.
Grade C in GCSE Drama if taken or a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Performing Arts, or proven expertise/audition
Minimum point score of 38 including Maths and English at grade 4 at GCSE. This is equivalent to 4B and 4C grades overall at GCSE. Students will also need to achieve the subject specific criteria below:

From 2016 two of these units are externally assessed
This course will help you develop a range of transferable knowledge and skills that prepare you for progression to university or employment.
