Public Services - Full Time - Level 1 at Barnfield College

Course description

You will be working on projects that involve team work, problem solving and allow you to use your initiative.
This course is unit based and those units include:
• Conduct in Public Services
• Teamwork/Public Service Skills
• Rights and Responsibilities
• Careers
• Map Work/Expeditions
• Fitness

Entry requirements

A skills test relevant to the vocational area may be required. 

Initial and diagnostic assessment of English and Maths skills at Pre Entry 3 or above.

Future opportunities

Students on this course have the opportunity to progress to the next level of the Public Services course or further Level 1 & 2 courses. Careers: Police, Fire & Rescue, Armed Services, Prison Officer, Paramedic. Voluntary work (e.g. Special Constable– Retained Firefighter). Public Service administration jobs. Also a variety of non-uniformed careers closely linked to the uniformed services may be considered.
