Who is the programme for?Candidates 16+ who wish to undertake their Hospitality Services qualifications.What is the programme structure?The programme consist of a Level 2 NVQ Diplomas in Hospitality Service, a Technical Certificate and functional skills. Assessments will take place mainly in the workplace, with some study days at Trafford College.The certificate requires 37 credits.The mandatory units cover health and safety, food safety, customer service and team working.The remaining credits are chosen from a range of units covering different activities appropriate to your workplace, including cooking, food service, housekeeping, drinks service, office and customer service units.What awards will I achieve?Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services NVQ Level 2 Diploma Hospitality ServicesTechnical Certificate in Catering PrinciplesFunctional Skills Requirement?You will also completeLevel 1 Key/functional skills in mathematicsLevel 1 Key/functional skills in English.
GCSE Grade D or above in maths and English, or equivalent; and successful interview.
How is the programme assessed?Assessment is continuous, with candidates undertaking practical work and producing written evidence to meet the requirements of the Certificate. Candidates will produce a portfolio which will be internally and externally verified.Examining/Validating Body - City & Guilds.
Will there be any extra costs involved?Candidates will need to meet the costs of providing files and plastic wallets.
What can I do next?Successful candidates can progress on to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery. The qualification will support their progression in the Hospitality Sector.
