Food Processing and Cooking at Lagat Training

Course description

Each qualification route is carefully planned with both the individual and the employer to maximise the needs of both parties. Qualifications are made up of mandatory units (Units which must be taken) and optional Units chosen in agreement with the individual based on their capability and working environment.

Learners will study units including:

Food Safety, Teamwork, Health & Safety, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables, Sauces, Pasta, and will have the option of chosing further units from Healthier Dishes, Nutrition & Allergies, Kitchen Documentation.Learners will also have to complete and Employment Rights and Responsibilities Unit within the qualification to acheive the Apprenticeship framework.

Learners will be required to study Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1, and complete a Technical Certificate - Certificate in Hospitality & Catering Principles (Food Production & Cooking)
