Course description

  • The Sports Massage module is delivered to meet the requirements of the Sports Massage Association at Level 4.
  • Thai Massage is an innovative treatment using accupressure and yoga based stretching moves that facilitates the energy pathways in the body.
  • The Healthy Eating module adds a new perspective to client care and aftercare advice.
  • The business module provides you with the knowledge and information to go into self employment effectively.

Course content

This course has been designed to further the skills of qualified complementary therapists and prepare them for starting up their own business. It consists of seven different areas of study, each of which leads to a separate qualification.

The subjects are: Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage, Ear Candling, Healthy Eating and Business.

Entry requirements

A Level 3 qualification in Complementary Therapy OR Level 3 Beauty Therapy OR Level 3 Swedish Massage.

Assessment

Each module is assessed separately by a combination of written assignments, practical assessments, case studies and multiple choice tests.
