Course description

Is this course for me?

This course will appeal to those students who:

  • Enjoy writing creatively in a range of forms

  • Wish to develop as independent, confident and reflective readers and writers

  • Enjoy reading a wide range of texts, both literary and non-literary

  • Have an ability to work independently or as a part of a group when analysing texts

  • Enjoy discussing and reflecting on their studies with their peers

Course Overview

On this course you will be encouraged to develop your skills as a writer. You will analyse a texts for a range of audiences in a variety of genres to develop an understanding of how they are crafted. This knowledge will be used to create your own, original work.

 

Entry requirements

It is expected that students have achieved 'B' Grade or above in GCSE English Language and Literature before studying Creative Writing.
