Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Haverstock School

Course description

This single award fully investigates all aspects of health & social care. Students will undertake 6 modules over 2 years of which 3 are examined and 3 are portfolio work. This course will allow you to look at how the health sector in this country has changed and is constantly developing to the needs of our population

Course content

Unit 1 – Developing effective communication
Unit 2 – Equality, diverstiy and rights
Unit 3 – Health & safety and security
Unit 4 – Development through the life stages
Unit 7 – Sociological perspectives
Unit 8 – Psychological perspectives

Entry requirements

6+ GCSEs A*–C including English and maths, and a C or above in a humanities subject.


Over the two years of study you will have mini assignments and core assignments to aid your learning. For the 6 modules it is an even split of 3 pieces portfolio work and 3 exams.
