Course description

Our Level 3 Hairdressing course has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills to an advanced level. Expect to learn a variety of techniques, such as the creative art of cutting hair, the artistic skill of colouring and the art of styling and dressing hair.

This is a professional level qualification which is recognised within the industry and will allow you to progress onto employment.

Course content

Course themes:

• Hairdressing consultation support for colleagues

• Colour hair to create a variety of looks

• Cut hair to create a variety of looks

• Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques

• Promote and sell products and services to clients

• Hair colour correction

• Creative hairdressing design skills correction

Entry requirements

You will need the previous qualification of Level 2 Hairdressing Diploma and a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above (A – C).

You will also need a desire and passion to become a creative hairstylist. Be prepared for an interview to determine your skillset.

Assessment

You will be assessed through practical observations, theoretical examinations and a review of your portfolio to showcase your skills in preparation for employment.

Future opportunities

After successful completion of the this course, you will be able to progress on to our Level 4 Salon Management course or undertake other vocationally related pathways that will enhance your professional skillset. 

You could also consider university or alternatively seek employment.
