BTEC Diploma in Creative Media Production Level 2 at Burton and South Derbyshire College
The BTEC Diploma in Media provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for learners wishing to enter a career in the Digital Media Industry or progress to a specialist Level 3 award, in film, photography and graphics. Overall you will learn about media institutions, the future of the media, practically and theoretically, and how you can fulfil your potential of working in the Digital Media Industry through advice on applying for jobs and Further Education courses. The Area of Learning for Creative Industries has a range of professional digital still/video cameras and the latest computer software. You will be given assignments designed to achieve clear learning outcomes, which will then be graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction Level. Briefs are applied to specific work related situations or activities, with opportunities for teamwork and in-depth study.
• Minimum of 4 GCSE’s at grade D or above; or • Pass at NVQ Level 1; or • Pass at BTEC Introductory Diploma (or equivalent)
Progression to a specialist Level 3 Award in Film, Photography or Graphics or entering employment within the Digital Media Industry.
