Children and people's workforce Apprenticeship Level 2 at Derbyshire County Council

Course description

Our adult community education service is able to support learners from 16 years old upwards, if they live in England and are not in full time education, to apply for and successful complete an apprenticeships. They take a minimum of 12 months to complete and cover a range of job roles in a wide range of industries.

As employees of the company, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. You also attend the college for off the job training on a day-release basis so that you are continually working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Our apprenticeship programmes take between one and three years to complete depending on the type of apprenticeship and work you want to get. The minimum salary is £2.65 per hour, but many of our apprentices earn significantly more. You'll work a minimum of 30 hours a week.
