Management Advanced Diploma at Skills Team
Candidates will be studying management theory as well as practical application. They will be given project work, course reading and research plus written assignments to complete in their own time which form part of the overall qualification. It is important that candidates appreciate and understand the level of study and commitment that will be needed to achieve the qualification. 5 hours a month is a realistic assumption.
All candidates will be assigned an assessor who will meet with them over a series of 3 or 4 sessions to build up a portfolio of workplace evidence and mark their written assignments.
The Institute of Leadership and Management’s qualifications are truly work-oriented – testing not only knowledge and understanding of management techniques, but also assessing performance in the real work environment. The qualifications are based on national occupational standards developed by Government approved Skills CfA and externally verified by the Institute of Leadership and Management. Candidates will be measured against these demanding standards and the programme will provide all the necessary learning and support for success.
The programme options can be tailored to suit the requirements of your business, address skills gaps and have a positive impact on the business by raising standards and performance throughout the team.
The programme is based round the QCF framework that provides a unitised approach to certification.
Each unit passed is awarded credits. Candidates need 55 credits for their Diploma in Management. However the points can also count towards a higher level diploma. So managers can gain certification for their current skills at level 3 and then take additional units later to build on their achievements and progress to the next level when they are ready.
