Year 12 Content:

* Russia in Revolution 1881-1924: From Autocracy to Dictatorship Stalin’s Russia 1924 -1953
* Britain c1860 - 1930: The Changing Position of Women and the Suffrage question

Year 13 Content:

* The United States 1917-54 Boom, Bust and Recovery
* Ireland and the Union 1815 - 1922

The main objective of A level History is to develop the ability to think clearly, logically and coherently. This should enable students to take up a variety of courses and careers: degrees in Humanities, Business Management, Law, diverse aspects of Media Studies, Civil Service, Local and Central Government, Teaching.

Entry requirements

GCSE Average Grade Score of 40 or more (it is highly desirable that you achieve Grade B in English)
