Level 2 Apprenticeship - Children & Young People's Workforce at E Quality Training Ltd
To work towards this apprenticeship, you must have an employer to complete it with. This level 2 course covers all the necessary aspects of the Children & Young People's Workforce to help successful candidates complete the right qualification for their chosen sector.
Many businesses working in a childcare setting employ apprentices. The CYPW apprenticeship has developed as a proven way of training existing employees and recruiting NEW employees. Candidates' often start at level 2 and progress on to the level 3 qualification once they have gained the required experience.
You must have a good standard of spoken and written English. At least Level 1 qualifications in English, Maths and ICT Functional Skills, or have left School with GCSE's grades A-C in English, Maths and ICT. Either you will have completed a Level 1 qualification in childcare or a related field, or you will have some relevant experience of childcare.
You will need to demonstrate that you are a responsible person with the skills and qualities needed to care for young children. Additionally you will need to undergo a check of your criminal records in order to ensure the safety of the childen who might be in your care. Any convictions/warnings/reprimands which prevent you from working with children or vulnerable people must be declared as they can prohibit you from successfully completing the compulsory work placement element and can be used to determine your suitability for the course.
Employers will pay the NWM for apprentices per hour. Please see the direct.gov website for this up to date information.
If you are 16-19, then your course is fully-funded.
Progression onto the L3 CYPW for the successful candidates'.
