Course description

You will study the following topics:

  • Applied electrical and mechanical engineering science
  • Working practices in engineering including statutory regulations and safety requirements
  • Mathematics for engineering technicians
  • Using and interpreting engineering information such as drawings and working instructions to carry out manufactoring or engineering process operations
  • Electronics devices and communication applications for constructing and testing a range of analogue and digital electronic circuits
  • Planning, part programming and using computer numerical control (CNC) machines for product manufacture
  • Reading circuit diagrams and constructing simple electronic circuits
  • PC hardware and software installation, testing and configuration and assembling complete PC systems
