IT BTEC Foundation Diploma Level 1 at Fareham College

Course description

This practical course is designed to encourage you to develop the basic skills you need for working in the IT industry.

There will be visits to see how IT is used in various settings and you will be encouraged to develop social and personal skills.

As part of the course you will learn how to give effective presentations and will be expected to solve problems as a part of a team. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in basic software and learn how to use new software packages.

Entry requirements

  • Successful interview.
  • You should demonstrate commitment through a positive school report.

Future opportunities

You can progress onto a Level 2 qualification in IT or an alternative subject such as Business.

You could also enter employment as an assistant in an IT or computing services department.
