Healthcare Support Services Apprenticeship Level 2 at Midlands Training & Development Ltd.
This Apprenticeship aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to become competent in supporting Health Professionals. Healthcare Support Services play a vital part in the smooth running of healthare services. Individuals undertaking this framework may have a wide range of jobs in the sector such as porters, housekeepers, housekeeping assistants, catering managers or assistants, medical records supervisor / administrator and estates manager / worker.
The Apprenticeship framework will assess individuals in the workplace and provide underpinning knowledge. The framework also includes Functional Skills in English and Maths along with Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal learning Skills for Health.
Designed as a work-based programme, the Health and Social Care Apprenticeship includes qualifications at Qualifications and Credit Framework Level 2. The average duration for completion of an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship is 12 months.
There are no set entry requirements for Level 2 NVQs but you will require good English and maths skills. In order to complete the Framework you need to be employed within a Health Care setting
Assessment will be completed in a variety of ways, from observation, diagnostic assessment, witness statements, professional discussions, written questioning and production of work evidence. This will then be compiled in a portfolio of evidence and logged against the standards required in the qualification.
This is a Government funded award, there will be no charge.
