Early Years Education and Care Introductory Certificate at Harrogate College
This course is suitable for students who wish to pursue a career working with children and covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas. The course covers the age range from birth to 5 years and knowledge of children up to age seven.
You will study in college three days per week and have two days work placement experience in a variety of settings.
The course is assessed by a range of methods including observation in the workplace, written assessment tasks, portfolios of evidence and professional discussions.

Our Childcare environment is vibrant, welcoming and stimulating with many different resources including the outdoor learning environment, virtual babies, resource area for creative activities and cooking facilities.
5 GCSEs at grade D or above plus English or Maths at level C or above. Will also require a clear DBS certificate and a child care reference from an OFSTED regulated setting
Successful completion can lead to progression to the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (EYE - full-time course) or the Level 3 Diploma for the Workforce (Apprenticeship).
