Beauty Therapy Treatments VTCT Level 3 Diploma at Preston's College

Course description

This course has been specifically designed to develop your practical beauty therapy skills such as; face and body electrotherapy and body massage.

Within this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication and you can also choose to learn about IT and data handling and contributing to the effective running of a beauty therapy business. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.

Course content

Units of study:
– Working in beauty related industries
– Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
– Provide body electrotherapy treatments
– Provide body massage
– Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
– Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon

There are also a number of optional units you can choose from ranging from nail art techniques to Indian head massage as well as how to prepare and manage salon areas.

Entry requirements

This course is for progression only; you will need either the Level 2 Beauty Therapy or Nail Services qualification.


Assessment will be through a range of methods including demonstrations, case studies and presentations.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the programme can provide progression to Level 4 courses in a variety of beauty therapy disciplines and is relevant to careers ranging from Nail Technicians to Physiotherapists.
