Drama GCSE Level 1/2 at The Charles Dickens School
This specification aims to give students the opportunities to develop:• creative and imaginative powers, and the practical skills for communicating and expressingideas, feelings and meanings in drama• investigative, analytical, experimental and interpretative capabilities, aestheticunderstanding and critical skills• understanding of drama forms and awareness of contexts in which they operate• knowledge and understanding of drama within a social, cultural and historical context.
You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Drama or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification.With further training, you could go into a job related to drama such as working in the Film, Television or Theatre industries. You may also like to look at joining a theatre group to increase your drama and theatre experience.You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
