Apprenticeship in Sales and Telesales at Kingston College
This Apprenticeship framework is designed to meet the needs of employers and to provide a vocational pathway into the sales and telesales service profession. The areas covered range from generating and qualifying sales leads building rapport with customers to negotiating and closing sales. Apprentices learn on the job practical skills, working in the business four days and attending College one day each week. The duration of the course is up to 18 months.
This sales and telesales Apprenticeship framework is designed to provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills and understanding they require to perform their job role and to support their future progression within the sector.
A range of units that may include:-
- Understand techniques and processes for effective selling
- Understanding business awareness in sales
- Principles of presentations and demonstrations in sales
- Processing payments for purchases in a retail environment

Level 1 in English and Mathematics or equivalent. A successful interview and satisfactory reference is also required.
Assessment is continuous both in College and the work place.
Employment or an Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3.
