3D Product Design AS and A level at Harton Technology College

Course description

The course is designed to offer students the opportunity to study, propose and realise prototype solutions closely linked to the real world of product manufacture.

Course content

Materials, Components and Applications, Learning through Designing and Making, Design and Making Practice.

Entry requirements

Students require at least a grade C for GCSE Graphics Products or Resistant Materials, along with the necessary work ethic and time commitment.

Future opportunities

Further Education:

Art Foundation courses, BTEC National Diplomas.

Higher Education:

Architecture, Animation, 3D Design, Product Design, Engineering, Jewellery and Silversmithing, Model making for Design and Media, Furniture design degree courses.

    • A core part of Harton Sixth Form from the early planning stages has been to develop an interesting, varied and worthwhile enrichment programme. This will be timetabled on a Wednesday afternoon for all students and will mean that student’s can develop very important life skills through a varied set of activities and experiences.
