Hairdressing - Women's Hairdressing - Level 2 Diploma at Yorkshire Coast College
The Level 2 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing is ideal for those wanting an insight into the Hairdressing industry. The course is practical based and offers learners the opportunity to train in a wide range of skills such as cutting, colouring, perming, and a variety of hair styling techniques.
All supported by underpinning knowledge by means of assignments and research workshops. This course is essential for anyone with no or little experience in hairdressing.
The course covers the following units:
- Working in the Hairdressing industry
- Health & safety in the salon
- Client consultation for hair services
- Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
- Cut women's hair
- Colour and lighten hair
- The art of dressing hair
Level 1 Introduction into the Hair and Beauty Sector or 4 GCSEs at Grade D. You will also be expected to have a positive attitude and good attendance.
On successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing qualification, you could progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Womens Hairdressing.
