Physics at Thomas Knyvett College

Course description

Physics investigates electricity, forces, waves, the solar system and the wider universe. This course shall encourage students to gain a range of skills which include acquiring a systematic body of scientific knowledge, an understanding of scientific idea and to be able to select, organise and present information clearly and logically.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Science and specialise further in Physics or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to science and physics such as an Science Teacher, Physician or Engineer. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
