AS Unit 1 People and Politics (50% AS) 25% total

External Exam Unit 1 – This unit introduces students to the key channels of communication between government and the people: Democracy and Participation, Elections and Electoral Reform, Party Policies and Ideas and the role of Pressure Groups.

AS Unit 2 Governing the UK (50% AS) 25% total

External Exam Unit 2 – This unit introduces students to the major governmental processes within the UK: The Constitution, Parliament, The Prime Minister and Cabinet and Judges and Civil Liberties.

A2 Unit 3 Key Themes in Political Analysis (50% A2) 25% total  

External Exam Unit 2 – This unit introduces students to the major governmental processes within the UK: The Constitution, Parliament, The Prime Minister and Cabinet and Judges and Civil Liberties.    

A2 Unit 4 Extended Themes in Political Analysis (50% A2) 25% total

External Exam Unit 4 – Topic C. 4C - This unit examines the institutional framework of US government: The Constitution, Congress, Presidency and the Supreme Court.
