Course description

Textiles is about creating a unique textile product which addresses a need in the market. It looks at trends, construction methods and translating your own vision into a marketable product.

During AS students submit a portfolio this means they are working on a range of projects throughout the year based on a chosen area – fashion suiting or interior textiles. Students have designed and made a shirt, printed fabric and cushions. At A2 students submit one project of their choice with recent examples of work including stunning evening outfits.
